What the heck was Sreesanth doing in the World cup team and squad ahead of Vinay Kumar ?

These conditions here suiting Vinay Kumar well.

Why can't Ishant pitch it up a bit? It's not as if he's going to get driven much, with his trajectory.

Also the problem with his his line: He's only got the weak leg-cutter now, but he's still bowling the same line as he did early in his career when he was bringing the ball in. He's got to get much closer to off stump.

I am not surprised that Vinay Kumar has a stellar f/c record. I like his action for a medium-pace bowler. Good gather at the crease and an economical action somewhat similar to a guy I vaguely remember - Buddhika from Sri Lanka.

The fact that he keeps it wicket-to-wicket is a huge plus. If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say a fairly high percentage of his wickets would be leg-before victims. Haven't seen too much movement so far from him, but judging from the bounce, it seems that the guy is hitting the seam consistently.

I look forward to seeing him more. Bowlers of such modest pace must be encouraged to bowl their 10 overs right at the start of the innings. They'd take him apart if he comes on with a softer ball in the 45th over.

Kohli drops a sitter.

And another! FFS Kohli. :@ Dropped a tough one in the slips off Vinay Kumar as well. 3 chances gone down. And that should have been a runout.

Ashwin should fancy his chances against Darren Bravo considering his recent struggles against Mohammad Hafeez.

Barath finally gone. Couldn't pick Mishra's googly.
Wasn't the first one in this series to make that mistake. 8-)

Mishra bowling as well as he is to these guys (except Sarwan) is really setting the cat atop the pigeons.

Honestly, it's been quite a while since I've witnessed such inept batting against spin in two consecutive series. First Ajmal and Rehman and then Mishra and Bhajji have made them look like mediocre players.

Hawkeye says Barath was not out. I suspected that in real time, but the commentators didn't say anything.

I agree - I thought it was not out when I saw it too....

Another poor decision in this series....

Another reason why UDRS should be used in this series....

Have to say HawkEye suprised me there, looked plumb.

Don't like Ashwin's action for some reason.
Was like the Tendulkar decision in the WC semi. Ball was spinning sharply, but it wasn't very noticeable with the naked eye because it hit the pad very soon after pitching, right in front of the stumps. It had a good way to travel because the batsman was on the front foot.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame. The umpiring quality throughout the series has been atrocious, especially by Malcolm. Their incompetence has been magnified through the absence of the UDRS.

Kohli having an absolute shocker in the field. 5 overthrows.

Ashwin turned down an LBW against Bravo. Struck just outside the line, good decision. Another overthrow.

I can live without UDRS being used for a relatively unimportant ODI series, but the fact that it's not being used in the subsequent Test series is a disgrace, especially if the errors we're seeing in this ODI series occur in the Tests....

Is someone keeping count? This was about the 14th or 15th time in this five-match-rubber that Cozier has said this: "Just to repeat, the umpires' review system is NOT being used in this series."

Surely, the umpiring quality would (should) be better in the tests. I agree though. It's a regressive step and never made sense to me. These are errors that cricket can do without.

Hawkeye is not accurate with spin specially and with bounce sometimes.

There is no way it can accurately predict how much it is going to turn or not when the impact is so close after pitching.

Was a fair enough decision i think,UDRS or no UDRS.
