Neil Craig will be a part of Adelaide in some form for however long he wants. They tore up his contract a little while back and is now a member of the permanent staff. Like Judy in accounts or Gary in logistics.

Just barely scraped 2k in DT, but chuffed to get there after Saturday's performance.

Augustus beats Dr Dream Team in a real scrotum-chaffer.

1912 which is an amazing performance considering I had 6 people on the bench that are starters. had a zero on field so my rookies did fairly well (indeed no-one under 60...well goddard but come on) overall i've had a pretty poor 4 weeks now. hopefully this is the start of an increase in performance.

Chapman in for someone. If Mumford is out again guess i'll have to do something there.

Just read that Cotchin is likely to be suspended for 1-2 games.

FFS.

Worst trip to Darwin ever.

Arrived late like a bunch of idiots preventing acclimation to conditions, floodlights failed so the match was delayed, lost to Port, was a ****ty scrappy spectacle and now my favourite player is out.

Was about to ask people where they rate Dale Thomas, and now that Ross Lyon as said he's close to the best player in the game right now, I think its the perfect time to bring it up.

I'd say Thomas is without a doubt in the best 20 players in the league, and I think he is pushing top 10.

Thoughts?

It's playing some good football at the moment, no doubt.

Reckon he's the beneficiary of having a really good midfield, doesn't have too many really hard tags. I reckon he'd be between 10-25 in my list at the moment. I definitely rate Pendlebury above him.

Clapo is closing the gap now. Tipping Brisbane was a big advantage this round.

Meanwhile Murphy is at the bottom. Awful tipping. Perhaps if he'd not try and hedge his bets by tipping the favourite and then also saying "but they might lose", and man the **** up and tip with his gut, he may be able to come back.

How much of a legend is Brad Scott?

Dermie had a go at Brent Harvey basically saying he's selfish when he's charging towards goal as he always tries to avoid the player in front of him and never handballs to a free teammate. He said that this will creep into the mindset of younger players.

Brent Harvey responded on Twitter saying he doesn't need leadership advice from a guy who missed 39 matches through suspension.

Dermie tonight said Brad Scott rang Dermie and said that it is a team rule that if Brent Harvey is charging towards goal, he has the freedom to do whatever the hell he wants. If he doesn't want to risk a loopy handball inside 50, then that is fine.

Such a ripping bloke. Goes on the front foot and defended his player and captain well without having to start **** with Dermie and get into a slanging contest.

Definitely, but he's top 3-5 so it doesn't really affect the Thomas debate.

Good point re: the tag.

I'd have my top 5 (in no order) as:

Judd
Ablett
Franklin
Pendlebury
Joel Selwood

Sandilands pretty stiff, probably belongs in there ahead of one of the midfielders. Just can't decide who.

Chapman also pushing.

Yeah, Brereton was way out of line, if anything Harvey is too unselfish when in the forward fifty. The man is a god, top five most underrated players in the league.
