230 to win then.

Bet365 paying 4/7 on SL & 11/8 on England. Sounds about right.

Decent knock from Prior down the order. Who'da thunk it, eh?

I must admit, that was decent from Prior at the end. Penultimate ball a very good shot.

Think this is a par score, but if Tremlett doesn't keep it tight and we have to rely on Wright and Bopara again, the Sri Lankan top four could make this look very easy.

Right, 230 to make. A good score for England, I think.
Just about par, I think. To defend it, England will have to bowl reasonably well.

A couple of early top order wickets would help, of course. Make the first ten overs or so - when the ball will talk a bit - count, and they are almost there.

Win or lose I think we've just seen the last over of Murali's international career.

Looks totally lame.
Murali's destroyed us over the years and seems to give our batsmen all sorts of trouble so given they'll be playing NZ if they progress I think theres no doubt Murali will keep his place.

As for the England innings today, I think the poor batting powerplay could be the determining factor. Had they managed 40-45 in those overs and reached a target closer to 250 I'd consider them marginal favourites. 230's an even game IMO and greatly depends on the start of the SL innings.

Hope Murali is not badly injured :( Want to see Murali vs Tendulkar in the final for one last time.

England to win this, this is about 50 runs more than this SL lineup can chase.
****ing pissed at the half ass fielding.:@

Murali blew a couple of blood vessels over in that over, and is likely the last time we would see him in a SL uniform.:(

Crikey, I've only just realised that Tremlett's playing again. Brave / stupid move, depending on how it works out.

I'd have taken 229 when our openers went cheaply. I'd have exected 20 or 30 more when we started the final powerplay with only 3 wickets down. Can't really complain given the lives that Morgan was given, but, Prior apart we do seem to have given an object lesson in how not to play the last 8 overs.

England slight favourites in my view.

SL should just see off Swan and accept 0-30 off him.

Yea think so.
Happy that Anderson is not playing though.
Under lights if he got it right, SL would have been rolled over.

Got a score and need to hope they crack under pressure like South Africa did last night.

Too close to call though really. Early wickets will be very handy.

229 probably about par. Slightly disappointing considering where Trott and Morgan got us to.

Our batting at the death is embarassing, took the PP at least 5 overs too late as well.

SL should get there easily. But then we don't know which ENG will turn up when they come to defend.

Jesus we would be so ****ed without Trott.

Dilshan really important here, got to get him early and then it will be a really tense one. Still they are not West Indies, expect them to get them just about.

So can the triple spin move be considered successful? Good to see teams coming out of this fixed mentality of having a minimum of x number of fast bowlers.
