Well done Trott! Scratched around to start with, but hung in there, almost imperceptibly got his strike rate up, to score a crucial half century.

I'm repeating myself, but it really does defy belief it took us so long to get him in the team.

I'm not enjoying this, I have to say.

If Ponting and Murali are both done, then only Tendulkar will remain of the greats of the previous generation.

Sorry, I meant out of this WC. Only Murali is set to retire from international cricket after this WC.

And if India fall to Pakistan, then they would all (Tendulkar, Kallis, Ponting, Murali) be out of this WC.
