Yeah, it was real close. I thought it was shading leg stump myself in real time. UDRS would have left it as the on-field umpire's call. Although, now that I think of it, I'm not confident with Doctrove as the umpire.

God this is horrific, spinners are tearing it up out there. Whether the storm, wait for the field to go back, build a partnership. 240-250 could well be enough.

Woodster

International Captain
Yeah plays spin really well, almost out twice in last Herath over. Bloke is a waste of space and lucky to still be in international cricket.
Almost out twice in one over ? Must be a poor player of spin then, forget the years of cricket it's taken him to build a reputation of being a good player of spin, that one over says it all!

You'd want Sanga on your legal team, wouldn't you? Sold the appeal to Doctrove and at no point was Ravi out of his ground.

Don't know why Sanga wanted that. It never looked out.

And yes, 230 should be enough for England, especially with Swann on this deck later in the day.

They would be better off attacking the spinners. Passively allowing Herath and then Mendis get into their comfortable grooves can't be the right tactic.

England in all kinds of trouble here against the spinners and Murali has not even come on to bowl yet.

Optimistic. Sort of decision that will stay onfield.

Kumar ticking here. Needs to keep control because his team are winning it hands down.

They say SL use the review system well and bag India for 2 successful out of 8 or whatever.. SL have had 8 reviews and only 1 successful.. So much for who uses the system well likes it nonsense.. 8-)

I think the worst use of the DRS must be from Pakistan. In the sense that they had 5 or 6 correct after 18 attempts. Pak use the DRS a LOT and many times on very silly appeals. They seem to be using it as a regular 3rd umpire it feels

He looks all at sea, a walking wicket like Strauss was, if he battles through this then well done to him but at present he looks like a club player not an international.

Can't count as a good player of spin if you can't tell what the bowler is doing.
