Hmm, not necessarily. Gun top order is the sole reason for that and given the danger that some of the new ball bowlers going around pose, can't rely on that every single time which India are at real risk of doing.
If there are early wickets you won't have Dhoni, Pathan etc. going out trying to slog.

Why no Shiv today? Windies batting line up looks very, very thin. Thomas due to come in at #6 with a List A average below 15. :-O
Either they've discarded Shiv from the one day line up or they really want to lose.

Also, I'd really like to see Benn eventually make way for Bishoo. Reckon he has plenty of talent,

Would you prefer India to lose this game?
I'm not too bothered in terms of the opponent as I believe Australia or Sri Lanka could both easily beat us. But with Australia coming off the loss to Pakistan clearly through being unable to handle spin in the middle overs, I would probably rather play Australia. So I'd prefer India to win this game.

I'm also really scared of Murali after the last must-win World Cup match India played SL in.

I'd rather win also, as I think India needs a good win over a major nation heading into the quarters.

TBH Jono it's less the middle overs but the new ball overs vs. spin that worries me about us. Another thread though. And it was Razzaq who broke our innings - clearly our major weakness is 38-or-so-year-old trundlers.

Fielding as sharp as ever, I see.

Haha what? Anyone want to appeal for that?

Edit: Kohli did at least. Big **** up from Taufel there.

WTF!?

He was run out.

That is bull****.

India appealed, you have to go to the replay.

That's poor from Taufel, who is usually good.

I don't see how its India's fault. There's no rule where you have to scream ridiculously loudly. An appeal is an appeal.

Taufel saw it clearly, the veracity of the appeal is irrelevant anyway.

There was an appeal there! Would have raged if the umpire was anyone other than Taufel. **** happens I guess.

My theory is that umpires are so used to players screaming appeals at them these days that if you just ask politely or even say "how's that?", the umpire will think you are not interested enough. Which is wrong. An appeal is an appeal.
