Brothers

There are lots of brothers in the WC squads and it seems that there are always a lot of brothers in cricket

more than any other sport at international level?

Pakistan - Akmal
NZ - McCullum
WI - Bravo
India - Pathan
Ireland - O'Brien
Kenya - Ngoche

And if Albie Morkle had been selected then that would have been half the world cup squads playing with brothers

It's understandable for Ireland and Kenya maybe because the required standard is not so high, but the others are all test playing nations

It's hard to imagine any other sport with this many siblings in it. How many brothers played in the last football world cup?

Anyone able to shed some light on why this may be?

Netherlands would've had brothers playing - identical twins in fact - but one's been suspended for chucking and the other has a long-term injury.
