*Official* England in Australia (2 T20 & 7 ODIs)

Yes it is. There are five games in the series so far that show the opposite. That's LO cricket mate. One massive individual performance usually wins it.
Which are those other individual performances mate?? Dougeh was good with the ball at Horbat but other than that he has been pretty much all over the place his with his bowling, pretty much the same can be said about Marsh's batting.
Haddin and Dussey keep throwing their wickets away after getting a start, whereas likes of White and Clarke have both found the going pretty hard so far.
What I said was keeping the worldcup in mind, and its pretty obvious that consistentcy from Lee and Smith in the bowling department and Watson's consistent all-round efforts have kept us ahead through this series, but other than that there has been little else to write home about.
The good thing is despite being nowhere near our best we still have won the series with ease, but I guess that also points at how poor England have been so far.

Dussey in Sydney, Clarke today, Bollinger in Hobart etc. etc.

I get your point that we're not near our best yet, but we're not that far off.

Tbh, dont reckon the problem is confined to ODIs

Would've been interesting to see how they coped if they had batted first in Melbourne or Sydney given their performances in Perth and Day 1 in Brisbane

Everywhere else they batted on absolute roads against **** bowling
Well done. You're winning the ODI series. Now is not the time to start rubbishing our Test batting because of "roads" and "**** bowling". We were good.

On the other hand, you put a time limit on us and we crack in several places. We've always been terrible at ODI batting and it has had no correlation with our Test batting, which has not been at the same low standard.

Finny!

As I said... England let us off the hook a lot of times in this series and certainly other teams in the worldcup won't be that nice to us, also it shouldn't be forgotten that our batsmen have struggled against a 2nd string English bowling line-up.

Finny playing the innings of his ODI life has cheered me up a tiny bit.

Its just funny.

Edit: This is now his highest score in all cricket.

I wouldn't put it past these two to give Australia a real scare if the required runrate weren't so far out of hand..

Daresay had a proper batsman been there I reckon England could well have given us a real scare. As it is they're probably just scoring runs to get England some creditability but still is hard to get the win.

Eng have a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better test team than Oz and proved it

However, IMO, their batting is not that great and it was camouflagued a bit by the conditions and opposition. Plus, if you remember, a number of players (Cook, KP, Bell to a degree and latter Colly) were under pressure for their TEST batting spots before the series began which should tell you that it hadnt been brilliant in that format for a while either

Wait, what? I changed the channel to the tennis when the 9th wicket fell. Can't believe this is still going.

Ridiculous bowling this, and this last wicket partnership is definitely taking some sheen off this win.
