*Official* England in Australia (2 T20 & 7 ODIs)

I was about to write a post bagging Nicholas for something stupid he just said about Hastings, but instead I'll give him a rap for noticing the slower balls
Hasto could prove to be a superb performer in the worldcup if he attacks the stumps and mixes his deliveries up, he apparently packs 2-3 types of excellent slower balls, one of which brought about KP's downfall.
EDIT: Smith gets Morgan!!!

Morgan wtf

I'm sure it's been mentioned 10,000 times in this thread, but it's just weird how pretty much no-one in the mainstream media (in Aus or in NZ, anyway) seems to be aware that England's ODI batting is pretty rubbish, packed with blokes with unacceptable strike rates for the modern game...it's weird how mainstream media commentary and even cricket's own television coverage is like a parallel universe of ignorance and unreality

That's the way KP - just throw it away again when you have the chance to see us home.

Oh, and now Morgan's given it away as well. Really intelligent shot mate.

Nice to see KP and Morgan are now fully acclimatised Englishmen when it comes to this form of the game. Someone obviously had a word after their starts to their ODI careers and pointed out that we simply don't play like that for England.

Morgan has been very unimpressive this series. He hasn't looked in bad touch at all though, just played some very low percentage cricket.

Yep...and I think a 6'6ish bloke bowling mid-high 130s accurately is pretty handy too, like a rich man's Jacob Oram if he gets it right

Heals, you just talked to three VC winners and taking a catch is guts? ****ing hell.
Look mate, taking down a couple of machine gun nests when the enemy doesn't like the bayonet is one thing, taking a skier at the Gabba is the modern day Rorke's Drift.

I wonder if they are that bad, then how come they have managed to win pretty much every ODI series they have played in the last 12 months!!
Also, don't agree that Smith was trying to cheat technology there, because the batsman gets the benefit of doubt pretty much everytime a catch is referred to the 3rd umpire.

It's hard to like this England ODI team. Bating is just so poo.

Even when they score, if its not Morgan or KP, it's poo to watch.

Tbf... he can crank it up when required, also he was Victoria's highest wicket taker in all three formats last season so obviously he's doing something right.
EDIT: As I type he gets Bell....

Hastings! Very poor shot from Bell, you should not be dismissed like that after batting for 90 minutes.

Malinga-Matthews partnership is still in the back of mind, so there is still some work left here.
