*Official* England in Australia (2 T20 & 7 ODIs)

Good total but we kept losing wickets in silly manners, so that means we're about 20 where we should have been.

WRT to the PP debate, it is worth pointing out that Strauss almost had a PP field from overs 20-40 anyway, so taking the PP would've been a monumental waste of time.

Just heard on the news the Queen is visiting soon. Thank goodness.

Sorry, some things are more important than cricket. Like Royal visits.

And Tendulkar's hair.

England's bowling depth is damn impressive imo. Reckon their 2nd XI bowling attack would be test-standard and even their 3rd XI attack wouldn't be bad either.
Still need Anderson to be the leader though. Must admit i am pleasantly surprised how many options we seem to have at present.

I always thought of him as 'athletic' like an Andy Bichel but my English housemate pointed it out the other day. Jealousy no doubt.
He's stopped doing weights and started pilates to improve his flexibility and to stop being the new Bruce Reid.

Really smart shot Prior :@

And sure enough one freebie leads to another. Our 50-over batting really is unbelievable.

Neither. When England are batting in this format if you keeping turning your arm they'll give it away sooner or later.
Yeah, but that shot for basically any ball before that one for the last three games is a single to deep square.

Amazed that Strauss didn't notice it, surely if he did he would've played it a bit more intelligently?

This batting lineup just doesn't cut it IMO.
Nice understatement mate - they're completely inadequate inthis format. However, the sad truth is that none of us could come up with any significant improvements, so we have to put up with this bunch of tossers producing 45 for 3 as their latest demonstration of how not to play the 50-over game.
