Murali Vijay scored a hundred in the second test against Australia last year, but he was still dropped when Gautham Gambhir returned after his injury. We may have to do likewise with Virat Kohli. It may seem harsh and unfair, but that is just how it is. Personally speaking, I would back Suresh Raina more in a high pressure situation than Virat Kohli, at this stage in their careers (there is no doubt that Virat Kohli is the better batsman, though).
Raina is a mediocre player, Virat Kohli has the potential to serve India for a long long time. It is about time that Kohli becomes a permanent member of the Indian team ahead of the average players like Raina, Pathan, Yuvraj and Rohit Sharma. It is a pity that these guys have played 100s of games among them whereas a guy like Badrinath is discarded after 3.

Since 1 July 2009:

Raina: 45 matches, 1070 runs at 35.66
Yuvraj: 30 matches, 665 runs at 27.70.

I am correct.

Yuvraj: 19 matches, 432 runs at 28.80

Although with just two seamers, not sure how effective that will prove even if the conditions are helpful early on.

Whatever it takes!!!
Time to get a spinner in.. Have to take chances with this team.

BTW, would be so awesome if this side with PK in for Munaf started for us in the WC.. All guys could hold a bat and Zak will be Jack.. :)
