How is trying to hit a long hop for 4 reckless? And if Haddin is playing loose defensive strokes with his feet nailed to the ground is his "natural game"...
Look mate... Haddin always plays like that, the ball was moving around today otherwise he would drove that same ball back over the bowler's head with his feet still 'nailed' to the ground.
The problem with Clarke is his first instinct is to defend just about everything these days, and that's why his aggressive shots lack that conviction whenever he tries to play one.
Great to see Marsh treating Yardy exactly the way he should be treated.

Usually Haddin gets his back foot across nicely on that shot. Not there. It was quite simply dreadful. One of the worst shots we've seen all summer.

And Clarke cutting balls at pace at catchable height to ring fielders has been a problem for as long as I've watched him.

Australia have been helped by Strauss in a big way here, he should atleast have operated with one seamer along with a spinner rather than having spin from both ends.

Tony Greig

Top fifty from Marsh.

EDIT: Who was complaining about that Boony ad again? Really getting on my nerves now.

Well maybe in test cricket, but Clarke from 2007-08 would have easily played that drive at the G and cut today over the in-field. Those were pretty much his 'go-to' shots whenever he was looking for a boundary in LO cricket.
EDIT: Poor stuff that from Smith, we are in trouble now hopefully Haurrie can make few runs now.

Actually, that's the problem. In 08-09 it was his only boundary shot in LO cricket.

Anyway why are we talking about that now?

Did they all leave their brains at home or something? Just been the most extraordinarily mindless display...

Australia in batting collapse shocker.

Seriously guys we should be used to this by now. As if the color of the ball matters.
