*Official* - Pakistan in New Zealand 2010/2011

Watched a fair bit of this today, NZ attack looked the epitome of pop gun until Harper decided he didn’t fancy Pak getting a 150+ lead. Apparently going to rain tomorrow and Wednesday, so congrats to Pak on winning their first test series in years.

Gul and Riaz generated pretty good pace throughout this series. Riaz regularly touched 145kph+ in the last test. Also how mundane does Franklin look (with the ball)? No pace and gentle swing. Ryder if fit would be a better option.

Wouldn't count your chickens yet. Tomorrow should be ok until the evening when we are supposed to get hammered. But Wednesday looks choice, maybe just a delayed start because of wet outfield. Well that's what MetService says on my google frontpage:dry:

why dont kiwis make a green top pitch in every match.?
Somethin that subcontinent countries do as they make a slow turny low death pitch.
They should back their strengths,ie, seam bowlers.
Remembering india's terrible and nightmare tour of 2002 in new zealand.
And that too without BOND.
The cynic in me would suggest nowadays that flat pitches=five days of play more likely=increased revenue.

Pitches are far too flat from ball one lately, it seems. Look at Napier - 9 Tests, 7 draws.

Will be a shame if this game gets disturbed by rain.

Really gutted for Shafiq, rest of the top order made easy runs on an easy pitch and just when he came in would you believe it Vettori actually spun a ball

I found it on another site; thought Prince EWS might like it

That is a real pity, the match is on a knife's edge at the moment. Anyway, great news for the Pakistani supporters. A well deserved series win after ages.
do not underestimate the Pakistan team's capacity to lose a match from impossible-to-lose situations. I will wait until we actually win the series to celebrate.

Draw is fair. Now way in hell NZ are gonna take 10 wickets with this attack.

Jeets being missed here. WAG.

Yes would think it'd be difficult for NZ to force a victory from here, but it would make for entertaining cricket watching them try and move the game along. Really hope the weather stays away, it could be a fascinating last couple of days, but alas, it appears it's not to be.

Missed by Pakistan's batsmen. Jeets is finished as an international player. Or, at least he should be.

This will be a draw. 120km/h winds coming in on the tail end of a tropical cyclone. Will be pissing it down come the afternoon. Will need a collapse from NZ of epic proportions for a win for either team to be on the cards.
