The good thing about Ashwin is that he is an attacking spinner, and in tests you really need an attacking spinner who can run through sides. A defensive spinner who merely looks to contain (like Ojha) wouldn't be of much use to us in tests.

A defensive spinner like Ojha is useful when Zaheer is bowling well (almost always whenever he's on the park) along with at least one of Sree or Harbhajan.

But when the others aren't bowling well Ojha isn't too useful.

Ashwin is not great as a attacking spinner in first class cricket.

I would have Mishra > Ojha > Ashwin in tests on all surfaces and Ojha in India perhaps.

Really?

In a test match?

He bowls no balls which is odd for a spinner,but don't think he balls more than 2 to 3 in a innings.

Hardly matters in the large scheme of things.
