England can beat India "every day of week": Gough

I'm not a stats guy at all, but they are hardly 'irrelevant' and I don't see where they were mentioned either?!

Just a shame his back up bowlers let him down then. If South Africa's attack is as good as you say, they'd be celebrating a series win against the world's number 1 side.
Did it cross your mind that the number 1 side may actually have a half decent batting and the heart to duke it out in tough conditions?

Perhaps England still have some distance to go before they can start crowing about being better than any Test team in the world.

Can somebody give me a hint on how i remove (permanently disable) the email alert every time someone posts?

It's quite annoying.

Jeez, I was mocking SS' dire opinion on what makes a good bowlig attack, stop being so sensitive.

As for your second point, no idea why you're mentioning that. I've not claimed that England are the best team in the world. I think we have the best all round side, but we need to win our home series convincingly this summer before that gets proven.

In my humble opinion (and I hate to say this about the team I've always loved to hate :p) England look the most balanced side in the world right at the moment for mine,, they just don't seem to have any glaring weakness whatsoever, As someone else mentioned, both India & SA do have glaring weaknesses right at the moment.
They got routed on a wicket that assisted pace more than others. If that doesn't suggest weakness with their batting lineup, I don't know what is.

Ftr I am not saying India or SA haven't got their issues.

Yeah and Bermuda has the next Warne, it's just that he needs to be discovered and Play cricket. :p

The fact of the matter is England can't bat spin bowlers to save their lives. They will be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner alive by the Indian spinners if the series were to happen in India.

If England claim they are better at fast bowling than India, Look what happened to South Africa in Durban. Any day of the week Zak, Sreesanth and Ishant are better than the English bowlers. Of Course Sree needs to get his head examined. That is a different Issue altogether.

And Darren Gough has a big mouth and he runs it like a madman. England will be beaten to pulp in India and India would be hard to beat in English conditions. Gough can put that in his pipe and smoke.

That is what I meant to say when I said England have not beaten India Since 1996 at home and 1984 away.
Why haven't you shared your wisdom with us in the subforum?

There's a glorious moment in this thread where Turbinator has a good chuckle at the prospect of his precious India losing in England. He's now resorting to "Tests are all you've got". Thanks for digging this Furball.
