I cannot believe HIlfenhaus kept his position in the side. Almost as bad as Lee playing the 5th test in 2001 after averaging over 50. Only difference is, Australia were winning.

I have been pleasantly surprised by his dross. I came into this series remembering him as a pretty decent swing bowler. I'm sure in 2009 he caused us problems. This track and that at the MCG is pretty similar to the sort of thing you find in England as well.

Okay well I have the word for Clarke's captaincy thus far: attacking. Not hugely creative or what not, but very much attacking.

I get the feeling Haddin might be having a pretty sizeable say in the field settings, because they closely match everything I've seen of Haddin's captaincy before.

Well isn't it lovely to see Clarke having a laugh having made 4 in a total of 280, with England already 74-0.
