Mmm it's not the same thing though, I'd agree with you there. You shouldn't be setting point and square leg back on the boundary (or mid-on and mid-off for Harb) in the 20th over of the day with South Africa 60/2. But I wouldn't agree that Sreesanth needs three slips bowling to a well-set world-class batsman in his 13th over of the day with an old ball.
So you'd let the edges continue to fly through there as they have done today ? Sure the pitch is slow, but it's also seaming, not everything is going to fall short.

Where is deep point or deep square leg going to go if not into third slip?

Dhoni's field for Harbhajan is really dire at the moment. If you want to give Kallis and Prince the single to mid on/mid off - as you're currently doing - just put the men back. They're neither stopping the single nor stopping the batsmen going over the top (not that they're doing that) at the moment.

Really, he should just bring them up a couple of yards, but they're in no-man's land.

To point and square leg respectively. Obviously :p.

Not having a point at all clearly just isn't an option and having no square leg is even more defensive because you're going to a 7-2 field.

I don't get why they are not making Prince Drive.

It seems a deliberate move to bowl a bit shorter to him here.

South Africa will be the happier side, when you put a side in you have to bowl them out cheaply. This doesn't look like being a low score by SA.

Perhaps you would have liked to have seen him hit the middle stump instead of the off stump as well ?

Great to see Prince use his feet well against Harby. He has a bit of a reputation for struggling against offies but I watched him take Graeme Swann to pieces at Old Trafford in a first-class game a couple of years back and it stuck in my mind so I was pretty surprised at Swann's domination of him during the series in South Africa last year.

Anyway, it's far from given that Harbhajan will have him here, especially with the pitch not really favouring spin.
