We should hate that as New Zealand fans.Average speed of 128-133 is serviceable though.
Who said anything about express speed? Speed is a factor in a bowlers effectiveness.Load of **** tbh, express speed has nothing to do with great bowling.

Megan Fox in Transformers 2 was largely CGI as well.Well extra pace is like technology in movies.
CGI is used by both Michael Bay and Christopher Nolan but while Nolan comes up with Inception, Michael Bay comes up with Transformers 2.
It is an advantage if you have the skill to use it.
I don't think it is the be all and end all as seen in people like Andy Mckay who didn't even have real speed. I think its played on NZ supporters minds more than some other factors simply because there are guys like Michael Mason, Brent Arnel running around the domestic scene. They aren't particular quick...128-133km and they make domestic batsmen look like bunnies because they also have excellent control yet they get spanked on the international level.Mohammad Asif
Speed is just one possible tool for a quality bowler to use, it shouldn't be the be all and end all of NZ bowling debates.
He's only played three test matches all of which were played on absolute roads against two of the best teams in test match cricket. Let's give him a chance shell we?I don't think it is the be all and end all as seen in people like Andy Mckay who didn't even have real speed. Just as long as we have someone who can clock up a decent speed instead of 3 floating around 125-135.Mohammad Asif

I always thought Southee could push 140 consistently but he hasn't improved his pace much or at all really.Just as long as we have someone who can clock up a decent speed instead of 3 floating around 125-135.
Yeah I still think he can and will but his endurance hasn't built too much. That said when did he last play in conditions he enjoys?I always thought Southee could push 140 consistently but he hasn't improved his pace much or at all really.
