Johnson pretty easily. Before his spell the match looked like it was going down a predictable path. Easily had the most influence on the game. As good as Hussey and Harris was, Harris' wickets were mostly in the 2nd innings when the match was long decided, and Hussey's influence, while strong, was not as strong as Johnson's.

In a game where runs were at a premium, Hussey's runs seem so much more important than the raw figures.

Quite. Hussey is having a Warne 2005-esque Ashes series from an individual point of view. Must be immense pressure on him considering Ponting, Clarke and Katich/Hughes's form, yet he just keeps delivering.

Johnson Mom,, did his work when the momentum was all England. Took a super spell to change the course of the match

Ponting to ton up in Melbourne with a busted finger, goes into Ashes folklore.

Loving Johnson shushing Anderson as he walked off. Beautiful.

Everyone missing the fact that Victoria dented the confidence of the Poms in the tour game. 10/10 rating for the Vics.

Not sure they were really running scared about bashing the incisive bowling of Strauss and Morgan, but you run with that if you want

Been speaking about how straight Bell plays, and then he played that shot. Bell of old there, looking to hit it through mid-wicket rather than back down the ground.

It was a pretty crappy shot wasn't it ? For a man in form and looking to improve his record against Australia

Impressive effort today and so happy I get to see a live Ashes Test. I'm sure the crowd will break all records next week.

We still have a lot of problems, especially in the batting department. The poms would have a fair idea of MCG conditions as well now, after playing there a week ago, so we might be set for some long days there especially if it's a typical MCG shocker of a pitch. Why can't we play every match in Perth?
