Well, I just think most of England's batsmen are in pretty good form overall, today notwithstanding. 300 should be chaseable. 350-400 presents a formidable mental obstacle, but a good opening partnership goes a long way to overcoming that.

Very interesting match either way.

Those hairy hands have definitely seen some chins over the years i think. Steve Smith must be added to the softcock list.
Remember when he came out of that Sydney nightclub with 2 black eyes ? Yeah he's a bar brawler, a bad one

HAHA is that a true story? Being a NZer and watching the Indians try and sledge our players was classic. The likes of Sreesanth and Harbajan Singh. Now that was funny.

Still very raw, good on him for getting some wickets and some confidence though, he has talent. I prefer Tremlett personally
Agreed, but in a five-man attack they'd both play. Trouble is that Broad and Prior aren't good enough to move up a place.

Good first over from Swann. Looking forward to seeing how Watson goes against him.

Indeed it is, I remember the pathetic press conference afterwards when he had to admit he was an alcoholic or something. They thought it might affect his chances of being captain, clearly the press is nostradamus

Good find, hahaha

You don't rate Prior ? Broad might be good enough one day, but then Johnson was meant to be as well...

Hussey repeating the Gabba trick against Swann. Should be an interesting contest. Both have had success against each other in this series.

Judging by the players of those days (see Mark Waugh's comment about Clarke) it probably enhanced his chances.
