An error on an error, IMHO. My guess is after looking at Beer in the nets the selectors' collective arse went.
95% sure he'll bat #9. Averages nearly 20 from memory. Def in the "useful tailender" rather than lower order batsman category tho.Tremlett down to bat below Anderson. Thought he was supposed to be a decent #9. Bloody southerners keep lying to me

What a joke... selectors can't make a decent decision in regards to a spinner, so they end up having to boycott him and are forced to work with a more limited squad. Don't like the idea of 4 quicks (not including Watson) if we are batting first either. Probably won't be much assistance for the quicks when england bat, and in their 2nd innings (if they have one 
) we won't even have a specialist spinner to take advantage of a deteriorating pitch...

Just saw Steve Waugh in an ad. Of all high profile ex-players, he's been by far the least prominent in years. Interesting character. You'd think if he wanted to he'd get a tv or radio gig at the drop of a hat.
