*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
Chuckling at the English fans who think there's any real chance of this not being a win for you lot. It's not going to rain for the whole day, and tbh I'll be fairly surprised if we make it far beyond lunch.
Your reverse psychology doesn't fool me.

Post reported.

It's hard to see us surviving without Clarke out there, have to prey for the rain, though it seems to be coming down in quick bursts and then leaving, deserve to lose this anyway. If North tons up and saves the match he deserves his spot, he's heads on the copping block, and so's a test, to ton up under that pressure earns him a couple more shots. Unlikely with Swan there though.
Wont back him to survive against KP, let alone Swann tbh.

I just can't see us winning, anything will get in the way. It just will, it'll rain or Hussey will get a ton supported by Siddle or something stupid.

Then we'll lose the Ashes 2-1.

Hey, that's the old English mentality? You're not like that anymore remember? Australia is the new England.

From my moles at the bureau:

chance of a thunderstorm during the afternoon. Warm with light to moderate

breeze.

Precis Showers. Afternoon thunderstorm.
City: Min 20 Max 32

Sounds like a four-hour window to press for victory.

really thought the first two tests would be where Ponting would have the best chance to show his class. His conversion rate is terrible these days, Watson-esk. Thought Perth would be the worse place where he'd get bounced in a spell like Sharma did, and Roach did, and what not.

The hourly forecast suggests it will be sunny in the morning session between 10:30 and 12. And from 12 to 4 there are 'widely scattered storms' with only a 35-40% chance of rain (we are screwed)! Then from 4 to 6 there is a very high chance of significant rain, all the way into the night. So sounds as though for the majority of the day, barring maybe the session after tea we will have to bat...

It's a double-edged sword for Australia really. If they take the new ball, Anderson will be right back in the match, and if they don't Swann will be able to continue with his hostile spin.

nah the game is totally dusted can't see even Haddin getting runs on this against Swann reckon Anderson and Swann will finish this half an hour in to the second session.

Haven't lost yet. Suprisingly Betfair still has the draw as the favourite. Don't know what information about the weather they have that I haven't seen...
