Ashes Draft

For round 11 I've decide to be change things up a bit and involve matches from 2 series...kinda.

Round 11 features the 1882 match that started it all and the follow-up series played in 1882/83. (4 matches total)

Round order (reverses for round 12)
1.Howe_zat
2.Teja
3.Kingkallis
4.Nufan
5.Marcuss
6.Blakus
7.Zinzan12
8.Shri
9.Michaelf7777777
10.Fredfertang
11.Himannv
12.Joao

Round 12 will be anyone who hasn't played in a series already used.
This ensures that round 12 won't just be a throw-away round.

Hmmm. Really need a middle-order bat, but I can't let Fred Spofforth get away. I've got a very good lower-middle anyway.

Not bad at all - quality fast bowling and a very solid middle order.

Ashes 1882 gives me a chance to pick Doctor WG Grace. He only once batted at No.7 but that means he could bat lower down the order as well. ;)

Anyways I will tweak my team a bit to give him a place in my team.

CricDraft XI

1. Matthew Hayden / ( 1461 runs @ 58.93 in the Ashes )
2. Len Hutton / ( 2448 runs @ 56.46 in the Ashes )
3. WG Grace / o ( 1098 runs @ 32.29 in the Ashes )
4. Wally Hammond / o ( 2852 runs @ 51.85 & 36 wickets @ 44.77 in the Ashes )
5. John Edrich / ( 2644 runs @ 48.96 in the Ashes )
6. Monty Noble / o ( 1905 runs @ 30.72 & 115 wickets @ 24.86 in the Ashes )
7. Johnny Briggs o / ( 809 runs @ 18.81 & 97 wickets @ 20.55 in the Ashes )
8. Wally Grout ( + ) ( 69 catches and 7 stumps in the Ashes )
9. Arthur Mailley o ( 86 wickets @ 34.12 in the Ashes )
10. Craig McDermott o ( 84 wickets @ 26.30 in the Ashes )

Was hoping he'd be overlooked as well but being second to last once again here isn't helping my cause much.

I almost overlooked him but then I was like where the hell is Test no.4?? Then I re-read it again and found Grace in 1882 game.

Sorry guys! :D

Very happy with my side. Has a good balance between bat and ball as well as Poms and Aussies.
