*Official* West Indies in Sri Lanka 2010

If SL can match WI's first innings score or come close, they will win this match. Randiv and Mendis will run through WI's batting in the 2nd innings. Wicket is giving plenty of assistance to spin.
Lets be real here Mendis only got rid of our tail!!.. he was murdered by our top order and i'd like to think if they stay focused they can deal with him ok.

On another note Shilly is really piling on the pressure here!!..another wicket before lunch and SL will be in huge trouble!!.

Goodness me, that was out there. Maybe Jayawardene just got a touch with his bat. Very, very close and WI could have gone for the referral there.

WW, it was mostly all Gayle and it'd be too much to expect him to do it all over again...

Would have had another wicket and the big one if the Windies referred that. Russell and Roach are a great opening combo, so raw but very dangerous and both unlike the Sri Lanka quicks, can take the pitch out of the equation. Roach was high 145kph yesterday and today, Sri Lanka seamers by contrast were pedestrian. Stick Taylor into the mix and your got a pace attack.

Prior to the Australian tour (where Gayle carried the Windies) and even after (where Gayle carried the Windies - see Zimbabwe debacle) WW wanted Gayle out of the side...

Getting Jaya would be such a bonus if they snag him soon. Windies could really mount the pressure with another wicket here

Nah, the sri lankans werent threatening. The collapse came from lazy batting after they'd already reached a massive score.

Mendis really troubled both Bravos IIRC, beat the bat plenty of times before getting them out. Don't remember how he bowled to Shiv and Nash. Gayle smashed everyone around the park.

Actually it was mainly Deonarine who "carried" us in the Zimbabwe series!!...i was just fed up of Gayle's laid back attitude and he was terrible in the one day series against Australia!!.. i wanted to see something new but clearly that would of been a mistake!!, i also wanted Chanders out too by the way!!.. that's how p/ssed off i was back then!! .

SL in thick ****. These two needs to put on 150 - 200 more runs. Weather is also overcast and the ball is swinging. If We can finsih on 350/4 that will be an achievement. In this team, there are no rabbits with the bat. everybody has at least a FC hundred or a fifty. So if Mahela, Sam and Mathews can pile on another 150 - 200 runs can count on bottom half getting 100 - 150 more. The post-lunch session will be cruicial.

Look at the 2nd and 4th games!!.. it's one thing to hit a decent knock and then give your wicket away and it's another thing taking your team across the line!!.. having watched the whole series it was evident that Deonarine was the hero in this series because he kept calm and saw the games through when things were desperate.

Can't blame lankans, their bowling lineup is pretty dire.

Windies might win this one, possibly by an innings.

I watched it too and I watched what happened when Gayle didn't play in the Windies 20/20 game against Zim...

They were nothing without Gayle.

Shilly is giving your batsmen hell right now and i'm hoping we bring on Gayle to back him up!!.. i'd imagine Roach and Russell will come out blazing after lunch so lord knows what will happen!!.. that first session was certainly ours though!! .
