I dunno. Taylor, Ryder and Vettori are good batsmen but the Fleming era was far more solid all round than this era.
He said "since" though, so he wasn't comparing it to when Fleming played - he was comparing it to every batting lineup since then.

I dunno. Taylor, Ryder and Vettori are good batsmen but the Fleming era was far more solid all round than this era. We have three very good test batsmen and one hot prospect. McIntosh is only passable because it is us and McCullum is an experiement. Watling is Watling.

I'd take the old era personally, especially in the subcontinent. Fleming was a God in the subcontinent and the rest of the batsmen in that era were pretty decent against it as well.
MAybe I worded my post wrong. In the days post Fleming this is our best team for batting.

McCullum been told to have a smack obviously. Hope he can actually lift his game and open well because I'd love to watch the contrast in the Mack Attack.:p

Haha. I get twisted satisfaction out of seeing ****house batsmen fail. See you later McIntosh. Hopefully you'll be joined by Watling soon.

Did Watling just try and come forward to a bouncer?

Someone just compared to Watling to How. **** off, How can play short pitched bowling.
