He's running OK between the wickets as well. And just belted a six down the ground.

BTW I heard Gavaskar say during commentary that footwork and technique are over-rated. Something that I always believed but surprising to hear that from Gavaskar! :)

Whatever it takes!!!
Well, the more time we can get to take 20 wickets with our bowlers, the better.

Tendulkar is well capable of taking the odd calculated risk (as he did against Hauritz and Johnson in the last match), why not do it a bit more? He ended up messing with Laxman's rhythm as well and by the time Raina and the rest come in, the bowlers are in a groove.
Strangely (or maybe not so strangely ;) ) muted reactions to the fact that Sachin scored even slower than Dravid... Same with Laxman.. Sometimes the images the cricketers create are a LOT more visible than reality...

Lol we've had 4 sessions of cricket. It would have been better to survive and score over 500 runs, rather than be all out for 400 and have "more time to bowl them out".

If it was late on day 2 fair enough. But to suggest that time is an issue when we basically have scored 400 runs in 4 sessions is ridiculous.

Yeah, up to a point you give yourselves more time to bowl the opposition out just by scoring runs. To use an extreme example, if the opposition are chasing 100 runs and have two day left in the Test, you don't actually have two days to bowl them out - you have forty over tops.

This is proof at how ludicrous the idea of scoring quickly and sacrificing wickets are. ****in hell.

It's a tough wicket to bat on. Need as many runs as possible

These Third Reich analogies on the Sofa are appalling...
