Well I sorted Xmas hols yesterday, so the Melbourne Test I am completely off work for
The rest I will try and sort some flexi time and that. Will watch as much as I can. If I can get up for that shower in 06-07, surely I can for this. But I feel so old and tired compared to four years ago!

Each Ashes Down Under I ready myself for watching entire days' play but it inevitably becomes tough going, and I start drifting off, about half way between lunch and tea. On the first day of a Test this is usually the time when the Aussie openers are nearing their hundreds, or strapping on their pads, depending on who batted first.

A bit worried about it this time around. My other half's Mum is coming over both during the first test, and at Xmas/new year for the fourth/fifth, and she has no appreciation for cricket and won't watch any of it, or talk about it, and will get really offended if I want to sleep in the daytime. I don't have any holiday left apart from Xmas so for the first three it'll be a case of trying to get through without any sleep... and I also find that hard now I'm getting so old.
