I don't really think that there's an issue with Laxman giving Sharma the strike when the runs are there. You can't hide him for 80 runs, he needs to get in and get solid and feel confident about batting out in the middle. If there were 40 or less runs when he came in, yeah, fair enough, but Sharma's going to have to face 60+ balls if they are to get home.

Who was the runner? Sachin? I'm surprised that players as experienced as the Indians made such elementary mistakes running with runners....Wicket! Brillant pick up and throw from Hilfenhaus. Dhoni looked terrible out there and credit to Johnson for piling the pressure on with some tight bowling.
Always a chance of a run out though happening though with Laxman's runner out there.
And as I am typing Dougeh picks up another wicket with a short ball. Epic.
