Or Maybe Ponting Already declared him out by raising his Finger.

Yeah, in accordance with the agreement he and Kumble had to take the word of fielders.
Happy to enter into it, not so happy when it bit them on the arse.. But I wonder if Ponting could be an umpire..

LOLing at the prospect of how he would react if a player blew up at him. Be hilarious tbh.

That Smiley is not a license for mischief making.
Who the **** are you?

That's rhetorical btw. I know who you are well and good.

Look, these threads have been filled with vitriol for years.. it's unfortunate but it's true. Those of us who've been here a while well know that the comment I made was tongue in cheek and a reference to the fourteen thousand "vs" threads there have been on here.

If you think that post was offensive, report it. You'll be laughed at. And this latest pseudonym of yours wont last long.

And fwiw the ninja smiley is precisely there for mischief-making. It let's people know you're taking the piss.
TBF, in India, Ponting is the nightwatchman.
Haha, fair point.

But sorry, post reported, offends my fanboyism...

A pretty fascinating day of Test cricket. Thought Australia set the platform well early on in the day, and subsequently did very well to go past 400. Paine started off very slowly, but did become accustomed to the conditions and kept his patience well. You did get the impression that the Aussies were digging a bit of a hole for themselves, seemed to be just occupying the crease without any obvious strategy. This did change after lunch, a few lusty blows from Johnson always helps. Decent first innings total.

Sehwag and Gambhir ensured there was very little margin for error for the Aussie attack, and they did seem to struggle with their lines, first unable to adjust from right hander to left hander and vica versa, and probably bowl too much of a Sehwag line to Dravid who milked them on the legside to get him settled.

Two big wickets from Johnson turned the tide the Aussies way. Be interesting to see how Hauritz goes tomorrow, and of course looking forward to Sachin getting to the crease.

Look there is a difference between making a tongue in cheek comment that is genuinely funny, and just looking to anger some fans by saying something preposterous and then hiding behind that smiley like a coward.

I'm 100% certain that my opinion is correct on this issue. Anyway, it says a lot that you will stick behind the poster you know even if he was wrong....

I'm out of this thread....
Don't avoid the filter, tnuc.

Yeah I don't know that the Aussies bowled all that poorly, just that there's so little margin for error with Sehwag in and going.. The guy is unbelievable really. You see those two shots he played in one over off Dougeh. The first was the shot of the match.

A perfectly presentable decent length ball pitching middle and off, and he just stood as tall as he can and hit it through covers. Was an amazing shot really.

The guy's in ridiculous form, I mean he's always been a very good player, but this run he's having now is insane stuff. The way he's playing, getting him for a run a ball 50 odd is like picking up another player for a dozen.

Dravid looked good last night. Always rated him so highly. Hope he goes all right (not too well mind).

I agree in that I don't think the Aussie attack was poor, they just slightly wayward and as you say against someone like Sehwag the margins for error are minimal. Yes that shot he played was outrageously good. Very little feet movement but his balance and shift in weight is excellent. He doesn't have to worry about the short ball on this track either, which I'm sure helps him.

I do think they'll have to bowl with more discipline tomorrow or it may be a long day. That's the thing on these pitches, and against top batsmen you've got be absolutely accurate.

Hilfenhaus was made to look average by Sehwag despite the swing he got, I think we'll see him getting into the action today!

Sehwag is just something else, never seen anything like him before. Even Sachin is his best late 90's form vs Aus or SA doesnt compare. Plays shots you just have to clap and admire.

Sigh. If you've got an issue with a new poster, take it up with us through the proper channels, not by blatantly accusing him in the open. This isn't new, guys.

Sehwag was and is amazing. There's just so little margin for error. Give him width, he flays you. Pitch it too full, he hits you back down the ground. Stray on his pads, he whips you away. He has a remarkable Test match record considering his ultra-aggressiveness.

Sehwag..what can I say about this man..every series that India players..he holds the key..his performances determine the outcome..
What I am really looking forward to though is Sehwag against Nathan Hauritz.. Pathetic Pakistani batsmen gave Hauritz too much respect and he needs to be put back in his place..

BTW from the figures..it looks like Johnson bowled really well..did he really bowl that well?

Easily the most dangerous looking of the bowlers. Classic Johnson, some pies mixed up with some singularly unplayable deliveries, often on consecutive balls. The wickets he did get were in between but he was the only one who really gave Sehwag any sort of discomfort IMO. His second ball to Dravid was an absolute peach as well.

Hauritz was way too full. He might become more useful if he pulls back the length as he's already getting good drift, but half-volleys and full-tosses - not good.

Zaheer is a good bowler, but doesn't deserve a mention in the same breath as Imran tbh, lets keep our feet on the ground aye.
I did mention wishful thinking tbh. Was just referring to the fact that until a later stage in his career, He was a decent bowler with 2 very good series' behind him, a scenario similar to Zaheer.

Now, The chance that Zaheer will from now turn out to be an ATG bowler in the next 6-7 years, Like Imran did previously, is about 1%. But we can all dream on, Hey.

Zaheer has 2 years in him max, probably less. The end comes quickly for big, injury prone fast bowlers.
I reckon, He'll continue to be injured for 35% of the time and play for the next 4 years while averaging 30 or just under.

Quitting all forms of the game except tests would be a wise decision after the WC

India to make about 450. Australia to get bowled out for 250-300 on the 4th day with Zaheer picking another 5-fer. India to chase that down on the 5th day.
