ICC Awards

Streetwise, you've already received bans for such posting. If your sole aim is to stoke flame wars, then you leave the moderation team with very few options.

I'm not flaming anyone, I think Swan is a prick and dosent deserve any awards, sorry if you disagree but I've got my opinion. I know you dont like anyone having a different opinion to you but that how the world is.

Why bother adding him now? I assume the list was compiled from the votes cast by the judges, so bunging him on as an afterthought looks the worst kind of sop.

Cricketer Of The Year
These sorts of awards are basically a whole heap of crap. I just can't see the need for them. To the extent that I give a toss, which is not very much, I take the view that it's pretty ridiculous that Swann was omitted, it's pathetic that he's now been hurriedly drafted in, and the whole thing just underlines the central truth that these awards are meaningless fluff.

'The nominations, which recognise cricketing achievement for the period between 24 August 2009 and 10 August 2010, were made by a five-man selection panel chaired by Clive Lloyd, chairman of the ICC cricket committee. The panel also includes former international players Angus Fraser, Matthew Hayden, Ravi Shastri and Duncan Fletcher'.
