*Official* Pakistan in England 2010

Funny how Pakistan is right next to India and yet we don't produce half the bowling talent they do
With the backing of a simplistic common man perception which might not be true, My guess is that since people coming from the Punjab region are said to be genetically stronger and have the highest army recruitment rates, and a large portion of this very region lies in Pakistan, and this might result in Pakistan having more muscular/stronger fast bowlers which might explain the amount of high pace bowlers they produce. Dunno why India doesn't produce as many Punjabi fast bowlers though.

Again, I'm up for correction and don't really know much about the issue.

Geez, Pakistan unearths another who rips them down past 90mph. Seems no-one wants to bat in Pakistan, only want to take heads off.

Hmm. Really doubt that. My guess is the influence of past legends. Pakistan used to be known for their insanely talented fast bowlers like Waqar, Imran, etc while India were known more for their batsmen. This could have led to youths wanting to emulate their respective country's greats.

Mohammad Asif to Swann, FOUR, 131.0 kph, pitch up to Swann and he'll punish you, he's one of the sweetest drivers (and the quickest - guffaw) in the England side, this is stroked through mid off for four

Yeah and their wickets are even flatter than ours, if recent series in Pakistan (and their batsmen's cluelessness in testing conditions) are anything to go by.
That is why Pakistan produce these pacers I think... Because the batting tracks make you HAVE to bowl at a good pace and they learn to manipulate the track etc, that is why in England they are quite good.

In that case we too would have amazing fast bowlers...

Or maybe our fast bowlers are after money and long careers!

7 down now, this is pretty sucky stuff. To be honest while our top-order batsmen are obviosly the primary culprits, Swann and Broads really need to start scoring a few as well because their recent poorness with the bat is meaning that we're lapsing into "lower-order collapse territory again", which is the last thing England need.
