Yea all pretty predictable really.

Bound to happen when you exhaust your referrals and part-timers rarely get lbw decisions in their favour.

Kaneria will play a big part in this series, Salman Butt needs to use him well and keep backing the leggie. Once he gets into the groove he will be a handful, it really is such a confidence thing with leg spinners. Kaneria really suffering right now, bowling way too quick.
dude Kaneria has been crap ever since the England tour of 2006..

so i highly doubt he will make any difference in this match or any other match.. Abdul rahman or Saeed Ajmal could have been a better option..

Shouldn't have wasted their referrals then.
Or perhaps the umpire could just make the right call? I hate this whole "It's the teams fault for using up their referrals" when a umpire makes a bad call (Not that this decision was a howler or anything). The umpire shouldn't just get a free pass.

Well some teams have shown better uses of referrals tbh, NZ being one of them.

So 190/4 at tea...you'd reckon England might be the happier of the two? weathered some fine bowling from Pakistan and look like putting up at least a competive score..against another team you might say its even or the bowling side slightly ahead but Pakistan bowling is so much stronger than their batting. If England can get 350ish they'd have to be favourites?

Good session again,England just on top at present as we know that Pakistan can't overbowl the 2 main men after tea with the new ball due later. If England are still batting an hour into tomorrow they should have enough runs to set up the win as the Pakistan batting won't score too many.

Kaneria is a fairly average bowler. He bowls too slowly to be threatening given the amount of spin that he imparts and is therefore almost entirely reliant upon players not being able to pick his googly. He needs to either bowl quicker much like Anil Kumble, or he needs to impart more side spin.

Kaneria bowled a complete **** spell there....not to mention Gul has been very ordinary too...Amir and Asif can only do so much....if the second attack is not good enough it offsets the whole effort of the openning duo...

All saying Kaneria will do good and this and that....for how long have we been hearing this....didn't do **** in the last couple of years that i can remember....

Either give way to another young new leggie or bring in Ajmal...at least Ajmal is smarter then Kaneria and has more control over his bowling...Kaneria is dishing ****ing full tosses here.....

Well done Eoin, class innings really, giving the circumstances that he came in on.
Was fortunate that he came in and only had to face a few overs of Aamer and Asif before he was subjected to the spin bowlers. I am still circumspect on his technique against pace, particularly the ball going away from him, but credit to him on a well structured inning.
