Mine might be a tad strange.

1. Australia
2. South Africa
3. Bangladesh
4. England/Sri Lanka
5. Pakistan/West Indies ( Pakistan used to be higher but now it isn't )
6. New Zealand.

7. India

Zimbabwe would be somewhere in the middle and for some reason I don't mind England when their playing.

Rankings tend to be a mix of how much I enjoy watching a team's bowlers, how good they are in the field and how spirited they are. Quality of bowling/ (Dropped catches+propensity to give up).

They're not really in order of who I'd support. Obviously I'd like to see Bangladesh get a win over pretty much anyone, but the fact that they barely appear to be trying a lot of the time makes them my least favourite test side. No application. It's not as bad as it was when Ashraful was captain, though.

Likewise with the West Indies. I know they're the underdogs but I don't find bowlers who pretend to get angry then bounce the ball over the keeper's head for five wides every few overs endearing. They don't try their hardest to win every match. It's a similar story with Pakistan. If they practiced fielding a bit, even to the point where they became semi-competent at it, they'd be a properly good side. But they just cbf. It's unprofessional. New Zealand are by far the most likable of the weaker test sides. I'd usually support them against anyone.

India are at the bottom because their batting is so much better than their bowling and it makes for cricket that bores me. I like seeing wickets tumble. I also associate them with painfully slow pitches, and their fanbase is easily the most annoying. I like a lot of their players though, strangely.

South Africa come last mostly because of their supporters.

The great generation of batsmen still makes India likeable enough for me but like them a lot less than I did.

Find South Africa almost impossible to warm to though, despite Steyn being so great and really liking AB and Amla.

Beyond that I like watching certain players from most of the countries but dont really care too much either way about the teams themselves

However, I'd like to see the Kiwis get a bit more respect e.g. people rave about certain players but a guy like Ryder, who is definitely one of the most talented players out there, barely gets a mention

Out of interest, in the various possible match-ups involving England, who would you support?

1. Australia. What a team, what a history.
2. England. Because winning builds up their fans confidence for a greater fall come the Ashes
3. Pak - fans are gracious and excellent (check pakpassion forums). Bit annoying re: Twenty20 though.
4. SL/WI/NZ - feel like we're supposed to like these teams for some reason, but meh. Don't love or hate.
5. India - Harbi, nuff said.
6. SA - this is a weird one. I like pretty much all of their players. They are hard working, tough and not really ott in the arrogance department. But I just get so much enjoyment out of seeing them lose and I'm not exactly sure why.

If you would just accept that we're the best Twenty20 team in the history of ever, the world would become a better place for you. :p
