Not sure about Porto but has he ever "built" a team

Winning the PL with Chelski is an overrated achievement considering how much was spent and he wasnt around for half of it

Inter have just won their zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz title in a row

Inter beat Barca after the latter spent a day on a bus and on the other 364 days of the year were no chance

Tbh, I've got my doubts and will wager plenty that Real will spend more than last year and still come up empty at home - club has no soul
You don't go 8 years (with only 8 months out of work) without losing a home league game without being somewhat decent.

Along with:
2 x Portugal Premier Leagues
2 x English Premier Leagues
2 x Serie A Titles
2 x Champions League
2 x League Cup
1 x FA Cup
1 x Portugal Cup
1 x Italian Cup
1 x UEFA Cup

You can call him a **** for his personality, but you can't doubt his ability for a second.

According to John Cross:

Barcelona have finally contacted Arsenal about Cesc Fabregas - and were immediately told he is not for sale at any price.

The Spanish giants have still not lodged an official bid for the want-away Gunners captain but have finally made a tentative enquiry.

But Arsenal have told Barcelona that they are wasting their time, that they will not even enter negotiations or discussions of any kind and that Fabregas is going nowhere. They also made it clear not to bother contacting them again.

In other words, go and get ****ed you utter utter ****s. You don't need him nor do you have the money to buy him so just **** off.

Still pretty convinced he'll go, tbh. Might have to submit a formal transfer request and Barca will need to offer proper silly money.

Interesting article on Platini's Law in The Guardian. In a way I suppose it's absolute common sense that club's shouldn't be spending beyond their means to compete (look at what happened to Pompey), but it does feel like he's having a pop at the Prem in particular.

I can see him staying after the way Barca have gone about it all. It has taken them until now to finally contact us when originally they said they wanted the deal done by last weekend, they played the same ****ty games when they were after Overmars and Thierry. Also the fact they feel like they're owed something because Cesc played for them as a teenager, even though the process of signing him was entirely legitimate and we gave them a settlement fee to get them to stfu about it.
We don't need the money, they don't have the money and they're a bunch of pretentious ****s, so for all of those reasons, as well as the fact that Cesc was Arsenal at times last season, are why I hope/want/think he'll still be an Arsenal player next season.
Just, as dcye alluded to, I hope he doesn't have a Vieira/Henry style season if we do manage to keep him. Clearly "le Boss" needs to pull his finger out and give Cesc the opportunity to win stuff with us.

Edit : Also hearing that rumours of us going after Joe Cole are gaining momentum....

With good reason, the debt levels in the Premiership are a complete nonsense.

You know Brumby, reading that article made me question for a minute if I wasn't Bill Murray and I was in Ground Hog Day.

..... Hang on, thats from a Rangers fan? :p

.... someone back me up here guys...... guys??
I'm not going to back up our chairman here, the way he's run the club since c.1998 has been a complete and utter joke and the sooner we're rid of him, the better - I might add that's a drum I've been beating for 5 years as well.

However, compared to the Premiership, our debt is small fry, and it's a debt we could trade our way out of by selling our top players (2 of whom will line up against England at the World Cup) and slashing our wage bill further. I'd also wager that we wouldn't have the bank leaning on us quite as hard if our owner wasn't in debt to the tune of £750m.

Compare that to teams like Fulham who have debts in excess of £100m, or Portsmouth, who despite selling £80m worth of players over 18 months or so still found themselves in administration, unable to pay players' wages on time, and with debts estimated at around £100m. That's a completely different kettle of fish.

Yeah, apparently Rangers would pass UEFA's new rules on debt, whereas many prem clubs wouldn't.

According to our board, we'd pass aswell......... hmmmmmmm

Interestingly enough, in La Liga, there was a report last week that suggested that the total debt is more then €3.5b (full story), but I'm not sure how accurate that is, because if a club got relegated, then it would put them at serious risk of been liquidated and therefore doesn't exist as a club.

If you sell a player for £80m each year it's all good, yeah.

Loved Gill's comments about the green and yellow protesters "not really knowing what they're protesting about" too. Patronising much? WAC.

I'm not one for bigging up United's debt, seeing as it was tacked onto the club when the Glazers bought Man Utd.

I reckon it will cause problems if the Glazers can't sell, however if they were to put the club up for sale tomorrow I doubt you'd struggle to find suitors.

Ha ha yeah, a real man-of-the-people comment that one. Apparently they're a "minority that will go away."

He also says there's £95m cash in the bank that Fergie is free to spend, so I'm pretty sure he was drunk for the duration of that interview.

Ditto Liverpool.

The top 4 club with the best financials by far is Arsenal, who are in a fair bit of debt because of building the Emirates but they're raking it in because they built a new stadium and sold off the old one.
