Would personally love to see Watto bat there and Clarke stay at four or five.Seriously GFL I'm curious... who would make a better post-Ponting #3 than Clarke?

Haha yeah AWTA.As opposed to a guy like Ferguson who has a worse and much less complete FC record but has scored some much less pressured runs in a couple of ODIs and is yet to make it back from a serious injury?![]()
What's that got to do with the future? I reckon that he will grow into a good FC and Test player, he's already scored at international level in ODI.As opposed to a guy like Ferguson who has a worse and much less complete FC record but has scored some much less pressured runs in a couple of ODIs and is yet to make it back from a serious injury?![]()
I'm not sure whether I posted it or not, but I didn't check his FC record before making the post. My post wasn't based on any stats, rather my personal opinion.Heh, Jake clearly forgetting about how good White has been in the Shield over the past 2-3 seasons.
People think the same of White though. You can have your opinion but you ironically criticised others for coming to theirs through a certain method which was actually exactly the same as your method. What's that got to do with the future? I reckon that he will grow into a good FC and Test player, he's already scored at international level in ODI.
The assumption that Ferguson will grow into a Test class player is still a long way off. We are talking about a cricketer who has done very little in his first class career to-date (one and a half seasons of good batting out of nearly half a decade in the system). He is coming back from a very tough injury, still needs to gain some fitness, and re-discover any of the same touch he had pre-injury.What's that got to do with the future? I reckon that he will grow into a good FC and Test player, he's already scored at international level in ODI.
Don't agree with this.White has such stupid looking stance and technique. I can't see him batting in Tests,
Ferguson was rated by Ponting as a future start and his replacement, but I disagree,. As far as I'm concerned, he has no technique.
Mitchell Marsh on the other hand has the 2nd best technique in all of Australia behind Ponting, that's how highly I rate him.
It just seems slightly too high for Clarke IMO.Clarke's good enough for 3.
I'm not a person to talk too much about technique (Hughes fanDon't agree with this.
I've seen Cameron White play shield cricket before and his stance is fine and I think he could be a decent batsmen in test cricket, his technique isn't the best when it comes to facing swing bowling, but he has tightened up his batting recently and his past few seasons for Victoria and for Australia at the moment prove this.
What do you mean he has no technique? How can you have no technique? If you've seen him play for Australia and seen some of his ODI knocks then you'll know that he has some kind of ' technique '. Personally I think Ferguson will continue his good form from last season and score more runs for the Redbacks, and eventually grab a test spot.
Also, I think Mitchell Marsh is a huge talent for Australia, but saying he has the 2nd best technique in the country? Thats a bit over the top IMO, I mean how many games have you actually seen him play? because he has only played a few for the Warriors plus for the U19's, is still very young to.
Too much talk on techniques IMO.
This.Tum Tum, White has made a stack of runs in English conditions, playing County Cricket.
Averaging mid-60's at last count with, I think, at least one big double ton.Tum Tum, White has made a stack of runs in English conditions, playing County Cricket.
