Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

You know what defines Hussey to me. The joy on his face when a Chennai Superkings player caught Tendulkar in the IPL final. Hussey was left out of the side, and was on the boundary right behind the player.

He was so overjoyed, even though he wasn't even playing. Just a team player who loves cricket.

What a guy. ****ing good cricketer too.

Stephen Fleming said that Murali and Hussey would just talk cricket, cricket, cricket in the CSK dressing room and were thusly dubbed Mr and Mrs. Cricket.

You know what defines Hussey to me. His nationality and all those runs he hit in the 06-07 Ashes.

Lol @ Murali being the chick.

But yeah imagine a team with those two guys in the locker room. Just awesome blokes.

-1 Michael Bevan. Good cricketer, but...
You prick tease... :p

Anyway, Hussey for me. Seems a good guy and the stats nerd in me got a serious wide on with the way he started his career. Speaking as a certified armchair psychologist, I reckon him getting international recognition relatively late on has made him appreciate it a bit more.

Mark Waugh. With ease. This is the easiest battle so far.

Hussey is dull. So deathly, deathly dull. He's like a little kid with OCD crossed with an accountant or Clapo. Bevan was a pain in the neck. I actually enjoyed watching Mark Waugh play. Simple.

Loved watching Mark Waugh, but his narky commentary spoils him for me.

Running with Hussey here.

And Bevan. WAC, honestly.

Hussey, he's one of the most likeable players in world cricket and his face after he hit the winning runs in Adelaide (that's this match just in case any of you poms have forgotten) is one I'll never forget.
Always good to watch that replayed over and over again in the Johnny Walker ads
