Sounds like quite some innings from Ryan ten Doeschate today, been an excellent start to the season for him.

Sutton opening for Lancashire, makes some sense him batting higher up instead of getting a slow 20/30 with the tail. 27-3 so far, Sutton unbeaten though.

Interesting batting line-up for Surrey.

Moeen Ali blazing away again for Worcester, wouldn't be surprised if he was fast-tracked into one of those random Lions or performance squads.

Hants being utterly **** again, don't know how Benham has not been dropped yet and Mckenzie fails yet again.

Carberry still there, need him to get a big score if we are going to get somethig half decent,

He has had en excellent start to the season, but unfortunately for Worcester he's not had the usually reliable support from the likes of Vikram Solanki and especially Phil Jaques.

Essex picked up a couple of wickets before lunch, the in-form duo of Sayers and Lyth both back in the shed, big afternoon session coming though with Rudolph and McGrath at the crease.

Vince doing what he has done so far his season, bat quickly and impressively, get in and then get out.
39 off 39 balls today. Needs to start going on soon.

Funny thing is, Jaques had never made a FC 0 before this season.

What a surprise from Hampshire. Relying entirely on Carbs to score our runs. Vince played nicely, but really needs to start kicking on and making centuries. Benham and McKenzie have been dire and after Ervine and Cork there's very little batting to come. Just gotta hope Kabir Ali does something special with the ball and Herath makes an impression.

Having a look through their squad, there's supposedly an emphasis on allowing youngsters a chance to step up to a first class side, yet most of their squad is filled with late 20s or older ex-county flops.

Edit: CW throwing a minor wobbler here.

Anyway yes definitely a making-up-the-numbers team. Surrey missing out on a rare opportunity when they can outbowl a side and boost their run-rate.
They are indeed a completely pointless team. I'm quite glad that we put out the strongest side we could, because it would have been embarrassing to lose to them.

Yeah Benham at 3 really needs to stop and Mckenzie seems to be getting worse.

I guess this what happens when Pothas does not save your innings like he has about 45,000 times in the last few years.

As for Herath, would be plesantly suprised he does as well as Briggs has so for this season.

Century up for Carberry too. He's been awesome so far. Really hope Strauss and Cook stay fit and in form for England, as we'd be screwed if we lost him.

4/34 from 16 overs for Tremlett. Surrey performing well atm after their very poor start and have reduced Gloucester to 196/9.
