I'd back that team against any of the rest.
We are also leaving out some pretty good opening batsmen: Gooch, Greenidge, Graeme Smith, Geoff Boycott
I forgot about :Kevin Pietersen, who's better KP or Kanhai? I think it's tough, but I naturally normally go for the cricketer who has finished his career.1 Ken Barrington

4 Jacques Kallis
5 Rohan Kanhai
6 Keith Miller

8 Alan Knott
9 Kapil Dev
10 Anil Kumble
11 Ken Higgs
Okay, so Barrington is not usually an opener, but he did open a few times in Test Cricket. Am I overlooking someone instead of Higgs? I love how this team has 4 gun all rounders!
I would include Dudley Nourse, Navjot Sidhu, Monty Noble and Makhaya Ntini.N Power?

Hard to believe that Jack Newman never played Tests with a record like that. He's one who's been given extra runs and wickets by the ACS in recent years - 22 more wickets than shown in Wisden. Neil Taylor was a long-serving Kent batsman who again was probably unlucky not to play for England.
Was obviously a conspiracy to stop someone born in Hampshire play for EnglandN Power?

Peter Sainsbury | Cricket Players and Officials | Cricinfo.com unlucky as well.
I know you would never guess when you hear them talk would you? both have authentic Hampshire accents, Robin Smith as well of course.Wait ... you're saying that Pietersen and Mascarenhas weren't born in Hampshire?

Your team is possibly a little better balanced, but I like having a specialist keeper in there to keep to Warne, so Wasim Bari IMO gets the gig. Besides, Worrell played around 1/3 of his career as opener so he can open. I do like Grace opening though, so a compromise team basically has Worrell replace Woodfull and Bari in as keeper, with Walcott being promoted up the order.Love how most of 5 of W team comes to mind instantly, do not reallly like using keepers like Wallcott but the 3 W's is neccessary.

I can get the alphabet in 6 players. I reckon if you put the effort in (and perhaps stretched things) you could get it down to 4 or 5.How about a team using every letter?
