Stick to ****ing people in laybys you halfwit as you clearly can't write about football.

Not the only one talking out of his arse.

So the thing that pissed you off most about the whole scenario was Wenger? Not the fact a 19 year old was lying with his leg held together by a sock FFS.
"Feel sorry for Shawcross" - yet no mention for the player who has been put out of the game for a year?

At least some people have a clue. and this one.

Stan Collymore lol, nice that he took time away from his dogging to attempt to write an article. Nice try Colly, good effort.

Not exactly, you replied to it with another whinge/moan/whatever, at which point i fell comatose from boredom and have only just recovered.

Agree with the 1st 3 TBH. Games robust, accidental injuries occur, this was an accidental injury, Wenger starts spouting **** about someone. If your midfield is losing a physical game, dont use an accidental injury as b******s reasoning everyones out to get you. Get a ****ing decent midfielder who can mix it up, and teams might think twice about trying to outmuscle you. Fact is even with that all 3 injuries would've still occured.

As somebody that watches **** all football I don't think the 'tackle' was all that bad. Looked as if both guys were going in to clear/pass the ball and Shawcross (the guy that didn't get hurt) was maybe a third of a second late and hit the other guys leg. Just a really unlucky thing to happen.

It's kinda funny that you saw that, because in actual fact, that's EXACTLY what happened.

Shawcross had next to **** all chance of getting to that ball first and still went in with a ridiculously rash swing and he's connected with a bloke 8 inches up his shin. But yeah, must be that training with all those French softies has hindered Ramsey's physical development, I mean Shawcross would've just gotten on with it because we breed them tough in Britain, the more you " stick it up 'em" the more they love it. It's only Arsenal that have a ****ing issue with having their legs snapped. Need to get over it and man up IMO.

Uppercut. On the mark. Not doing an Aussie and dissecting the post point by point, so i'll just say it was a load of one sided turd. Accidental injury must mean its physical violance aimed specifically at crippling Arsenal players.........

FMD, I'm not accusing Shawcross of wanting to break his leg.
Just if you're denying the fact that Arsenal supposedly "don't like it up 'em" and that teams try to take advantage of that then you're deluded.

Absolutely nowhere I'm denying that, infact in every post on this subject I've been saying Arsenal's playing style and lack of forceful midfielder encourages this style of play, and the problem is Arsenal's failure to rectify this leaves them open to lesser skilled teams trying to bully them more than they try against other top teams (and again, earlier I stated Stoke tried the same against us, as have others). What I'm saying is this broken leg is nothing more than an accident and has no relevance to anything before, as even if teams wern't trying to 'get it up' Arsenal, that 50/50 challenge would've still occured, and Ramsey would've still had a broken leg.

50/50 your arse indeed. Think the majority of tackles are a player has control of a ball and a defender tries to nab it, thats weighted in an attackers favour but still encouraged, infact essential to football. This is a loose ball, under no ones control with both players starting approx the same distance away. Thats about as 50/50 ball you'll ever get. Theres absolutely no reason why Shawcross shouldn't be going for that ball. He's got an equal chance of getting it as Ramsey. Fact is only one can win and Ramsey won in that case (and lets face it, hindsight will always favour the victor), but that wasnt a given at the outset and theres absolutely no reason why Shawcross shouldn't have gone for that ball.

Don't see why you can't accept its an unlucky injury where blame doesn't lie anywhere.

Good advice imo.

+1

cpr has hit the nail on the head there. As an Arsenal supporter, it's hugely frustrating that we don't have a big physical enforcer in the middle of the park. The fancy footwork and one-touch football is wonderful going forward but when there is a loose ball in dispute I'd want a Gattuso, Mascherano or a Yaya Toure after it and not a lithe Denilson or Abou Diaby. The problem with Wenger is that he is so ingrained in his footballing philosophy that he's not able to make slight accommodations or deviations from his gameplan and consider purchasing a less technically able bigger-bodied player.

Unfortunately with so many smaller bodies in the park there is always a tendency for technically inferior teams to fly in and use their physical presence to bully us off the ball as that's where they have a comparative advantage. On the odd occasion, this extra physicality might result in an mistimed tackle - which just happened to be the downfall of Ramsey. I'd bet if we had a couple of bruisers in the midfield, teams will think twice about bullying as around as they know that they're gonna get hit back just as hard.

There's no point claiming you've been victimised or there is a conspiracy going on - Arsenal don't have the physical size against a team like Stoke or Hull City - it's as simple as that. The only way around this is to ensure we have got the men in the team who can exert their presence and rid us of this "soft" perception.
