They aren't. They may appear superficially ignorant to those who do not fully understand them, but to those who do (ie, probably me and no-one else) they're not.
If you knew it was ignorant then it wouldn't be ignorant.

If they meet the qualification regulations and are commited to England then I welcome them.

Kick out the Kolpacks. Blood sucking leaches.

Whitlist Strauss & Prior should play for England, I think Kieswatter & Pietersen shouldn't. Morgan in particular ticks me off as if it was for Bosman, he wouldn't even be able to play in England, let alone for England. Would it feel right if someone like Pothas or ten Doeschate played for England?
While everyone is calling Richard for alleged ignorance, morgieb seems to have got off lightly for a completely ludicrous and crass statement. Would find Smitteh's man-spitting-tea pic if I cbf.

If you don't know what you're talking about, just don't talk.

Already pointed that one out.

A mantra that you always go by of course:ph34r:

Yeah I know - that's why I said 'got off lightly' rather than completely got away with it. Everyone should have jumped on him!

TBF, whilst morgie's post is factually inaccurate about the Bosman thing he's not actually suggesting anything as crass or ludicrous as Dicko's assertion that Ireland has always been part of England in a cricketing sense and always will be, blah, blah, whistle, fart, puke, dribble...

Vaughan is irked and wants '11 complete Englishmen' in the team. That is, no KP, no Kieswetter and definitely no Trott. (No idea why he doesn't complain about Morgan too.)

For my part, Vaughan irks me more and more recently. Sure, we've got quite a few overseas born players atm, but these things come and go. They're all commited, they've all qualified, and therefore they have the right to be there. You can argue over where exactly you draw the line, but it is where it is.

LOL Vaughan, but my favourite part of that article was the below:

Ian Botham said:
These guys have made their home here to play for England and I don't have a problem with that. The biggest problem for me in England is Kolpak, and that's down to European law. What the Europeans have got to do with it, I don't know. They don't like cricket

There is no real difference in what KP did compared to Trott and Kieswetter, but Vaughan won't criticise him seeing as they're mates.

Vaughan seems to want to have his say on everything lately.

Read that earlier, annoyed me. Just wish Vaughan would STFU. It's like he's so worried about people forgetting about him that he needs to make these ridiculous statements just to get some attention. Shut it Michael.

Don't see how you can bump your gums about Kieswetter and be fine with Pietersen. Kieswetter finished his schooling in England and has only played First Class cricket in England - Pietersen on the other hand had already played First Class cricket for Natal before coming over to England at the age of 20.

Kieswetter's accent certainly less yarpified than Trott's or KP's FWIW. Suppose it's because he came over here at a younger age.
