Obviously $500. Wouldn't make any sense to pay 1$ higher than the second highest bid. Might as well bid the entire $10,000 on every player you want then
Wow, some big money being thrown about lol..Family all gone

The highest winning bid was $2,100,000 so Noble One and flyonthewall both end up paying that for their drafted player.
The winning bids were (from lowest to highest) - $25,003, $100,000, $450,000, $505,000 , $540,000, $650,000, $700,000, $750,000, $920,000, $1,100,000, $1,310,000, $1,350,000, $1,500,000, $1,850,017, $2,100,000.

J Miandad
K Miller
V Richards

A wide range of different players there, that's for sure.
Deadline for this round is 8pm GMT on Wednesday evening and can you include in your email a nomination for round 3's draft - which will be our first bowler (or bowling all-rounder)
How much did you get Ames for? He happens to be one of my favourite cricketers of all time. Happens to share a surname as well.Delighted to get Ames - widely regarded as the greatest wicketkeeper-bastman in test history until Gilchrist came along.
Interesting list of batters there, will have to think for a bit about who I target. I'm not sure I'd say Miller was a batting all-rounder, but then he is probably one of the very few players in test history who were genuine all-rounders for a long period so I can see him qualifying for either batting or bowling lists.
Edit: And for the record I have no problem with Ed joining and taking Stewart for $2.1m.
Edit2: Marc, I don't know if you've already been asked this, but what will you do if a player has equal bids from two or more drafters?
Evans was around 7th on my list, I bid $500k for him. If I knew I could've got him for less than 30k I would have definitely gone after him that's for sure. You got a bargain there.I actually made a big mistake and for some reason thought the budget was $1million, not $10million - therefore my prices Marc received were far lower than I was prepared to pay for them. Even so thrilled to get Godfrey Evans at such a bargain! I think people can guess which of those listed prices was the one I paid - not sure how someone managed to pay more for Kamran Akmal.
I went the other way around and didn't want to select someone who isn't really that good a keeper as my keeper.I went Flower as I like to have a strong keeper batsman, i paid a fairly sizeable ammount (1.31m) but I think it's money well spent. will hopefully allow me to have a good balance.
I like to have 5 bowlers, so if I ended up with a great keeper like Healy, Marsh, Dujon etc... who werent great with the bat then I'd be risking expecting to pick up Sobers, Miller or Khan to bat in the top 6 and thought would be tough.I went the other way around and didn't want to select someone who isn't really that good a keeper as my keeper.
