What a morning session, this promises to be another nail biting conclusion. Bell and Colly fought back really well in the last hour or so of that session, after Morkel tormented our top order. Strauss pretty unlucky to be dismissed, not a poor shot but an outstanding catch from Amla.
Cook was undone by a decent ball, was looking very solid aswell, shame. Trott's batting was frenetic, came out virtually playing a shot a ball, looked loose, whether it was nerves or he was trying too hard to show he was going to be positive today. Generally bad shot selection.
KP,never looks too comfortable early, no different here. Came close to running Cook out trying to get off zero, something that he has to stop affecting him so much. Played a typical powerful flick through straightish mid-wicket to help his confidence then gives it away with a flimsy pull shot.
Collingwood and Bell did really well then upto lunch. Colly obviously more positive than in Cape Town, his off side strokeplay surprisingly caught the eye, he timed a couple of off drives beautifully and drove through covers nicely. He certainly didn't neglect his on-side play with two powerful pulls for six.
As I type Bell flays a sumptuous drive through cover-point, He has played with nice soft hands, think he has scored three boundaries down to third man where he has just taken his bottom hand off the bat to keep the ball down. Big partnership between these two, come on boys.
