Lol Joe. Thought about taking McGrath but figured there was no way he'd still be free. There were probably better options than Hughes but I really didn't want a sheep in this round and Merv is a damn fine, albeit obviously not all time great, bowler. Happy with my XI:

Hutton (6971 @ 56.67)
Hunte (3245 @ 45.06)
Dexter (4502 @ 47.89, 66 wks @ 34.93 - 1.1 wpm)
Chappell, G.* (7110 @ 53.86)
Nurse (2523 @ 47.60)
Bopara (502 @ 33.46... stupid sheep)
Gregory (1146 @ 36.96, 85 wks @ 31.15 - 3.5 wpm)
Latif+ (1381 @ 28.77, 119 cts, 11 st)
Hughes (1032 @ 16.64, 212 wks @ 28.38 – 4 wpm)
Johnston (160 wks @ 23.91 - 4 wpm)
Muralitharan (792 wks @ 22.71 - 6 wpm)

Haha yeah, but I'm finally finding that leaving the brain at the door before entering pays off :p The rounds where I over analysed it along those lines, I ended up with Butterfield, Amjad and Elliot. When I decided to stop thinking and go with my instinct, I bagged Tendulkar and McGrath :p

Team needs a keeper. If I can't land one, one of Elliott/Butterfield/Amjad's gonna have to learn a whole new skill to hold his place in the team

Team so far, with statistics

1.Barry Richards (508 runs at 72.57)
2.Vinoo Mankad (2105 runs at 31.47, 162 wickets at 32.32)
3.Rahul Dravid (11256 runs at 53.60)
4.Javed Miandad (8832 runs at 52.57)
5.Ernest Tyldesley (990 runs at 55.00)
6.Colin Bland (1669 runs at 49.08)
7.John Waite (wk) ( 2405 runs at 30.44, 124 catches, 17 stumpings)
8.Gubby Allen (c) (750 runs at 24.19, 81 wickets at 29.37)
9.Hugh Trumble (851 runs at 19.79, 141 wickets at 21.78)
10.Wes Hall (818 runs at 15.73, 192 wickets at 26.38)
11.Ian Bishop (632 runs at 12.15, 161 wickets at 24.27)

A strong all round side. The highlights are Dravid and Miandad in the middle order, the depth of my batting line-up and the flexibility and variety of the bowling attack.
The only weaknesses I can think of are Mankad as an opener (although he did average around 40 there) and the lack of a big name bowler (Mcgrath, Ambrose etc)

Ian Bishop is a big name bowler right there. Good side.

These last couple of rounds with some people picking up big names like McGrath and Border have really mixed things up. I can't see a clear favourite now, there's a lot of difficulty in chosing the best side of those presented.

Ian Bishop is a big name bowler right there. Good side.
Bishop is very good, but when I say 'big name' I mean a genuine all time contender.
That being said it isn't really a major problem. I was just trying to be modest. I'm actually really happy with the way my attack looks. Bishop and Hall are a magnificent opening duo, backed up very well by Allen. The spin pairing of Trumble and Mankad is as good as it gets. There's no weak link.

Anyway finding it really hard to make a selection this round. Unlike a few others I have no sheep, so I'm in the envious position of being able to pick anyone.
Thinking about it, there are 3 options.
Replace Mankad at the top with an opener. Either Hobbs or Gavaskar would be ideal. But then again I like the balance that Mankad provides my side.
Replace one of Bland or Tyldesley. Whilst quality players, It'd be nice to have another high profile middle order bat. Any one of Bradman, Sobers, Hammond, Pollock, Headley, V.Richards or the 3 W's would do.
Replace Allen with a more well known fast bowler or allrounder. Khan, Akram, Hadlee, Miller, Botham, Garner, Holding or Lindwall would all be great in my side.

Trumble and Waite are good enough in their respective roles that It would be pointless to replace them.

There is going to be some very pleased people..

Round 12A - banned players
fredfertang - PASS
Marcuss - PASS
Blakus - PASS
metallics2006 - PASS

Michaelf7777777 - FAIL Don Bradman
kof98 - PASS
bryce - PASS

honestbharani - FAIL Garry Sobers (chosen in 12AA)
G.I.Joe - FAIL Adam Gilchrist
Somerset - FAIL Adam Gilchrist
Matt79 - FAIL Don Bradman

Can those with PASS beside there name please still not put there teams up.

The 5 people with FAIL beside there name you have 24 hours to select. A failure there will mean you'll have a big selection in 12C as there are some fairly ordinary banned players!

Oh also, how would everyone like to judge on who has the best team? Anyone object to a private vote where you pick the 3 best teams. I was thinking of making it 3-2-1 points and you can't select your team. Failure to vote would mean you would lose say 3 points..

WHAT?!? This is ridiculous! In a good way for me!:p

So, Nufan, does this mean that we can take out one player from our current eleven and substitute that player with the guy who we get in rd12?
