Burnley would be a good fit for wee Jack. Wenger would be very cautious of him being overplayed at too young an age though. I reckon send him to a Championship or newly promoted Premiership side next season.

The one who would really really benefit from a loan spell is Fabianski. Would do him wonders, and he's talented enough to command a starting spot at a lower Premierhsip team right now.

Also been watching a fair few reserves game over the last couple of seasons and am really loving Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. Imagine Diaby implanted with a backbone and a brain. Very exciting propect.

Really don't understand Benitez sometimes. If you don't rate a bloke, why spend several million on buying him? See also Keane.

When Parry was at Liverpool the temptation was to blame duff signings (like Keane) on him and imagine they'd been signed without Rafa's ultimate blessing. Now he's gone there's no excuse, surely? Given Aquilani was playing for the stiffs back in Oct it looks like Benitez just plumb don't rate him.

I'd give that as a red, ESPN America commentators saying they don't think the studs were up but it's Mascherano trying to faceplant the Pompey player into the ground.

Definite yellow, but red was probs a bit harsh, but I guess he can't complain too much given the way he went in. Team looks so ordinary apart from when Torres has the ball.

Fair decision by the ref. Shocking challenge.

Pool started the game fairly brightly as well. Oh well.

Would think Liverpool would be so tempted to get rid of Rafa, especially if the score stays as it is.

Been locked in the house with the flu for the whole day but this certainly brightens the mood.

Unless Torres brings the magic this will be defeat 7 of the league campaign for Rafa. Awesome.

Just don't get it. Starting midfield has just no flair or creativity in it whatsoever. Why leave it till the 50th minute to bring on Benayoun? Actually, why even bother starting with Dossena!!

Kinda glad we're going to lose this tbh, might make then sack him.
