Agree on Elliott - I mentally consigned him to the test-match dustbin after his previous performances, but because of Ryder's injury, Oram's retirement and the fact that he continues to perform in ODIs I do think he deserves another go. IMO is competing with Franklin with the number 6 spot and there are doubts over both of them.I wouldn't be writting Elliot off completely but hes hardly set the world alight in his three innings in New Zealand this summer, nor does he have the flashest test record (in fact Ian O'Brien nearly averages higher). The way Fulton's going I wouldn't mind playing him in the middle order instead.
Fulton at 4 with Taylor at 5 is an interesting idea. I don't think Fulton is back in the frame with the selectors at the moment though, after being disappointing last year against Australia. I wonder if he was moving his feet when he scored 172 earlier.
