Hard to discredit a guy who played the support role to perfection for half the innings, then upped the tempo when the situation allowed him too. 100 off 100 is a fine feat, regardless of the pitch/attack.

Doesn't matter how many of these flat track innings he plays, you pick players based on quality, not based on whether the guy Geoff Marsh's son or not. The selection was incorrect in the first place, what happens after is inconsequential unless he averages out of this world.

Hughes, Warner, Hodge, Katich are all better candidates either in terms of skill, talent, or potential.

Yes, and it is easy to say "well Hussey and White are slogging it now", that is only the case because a really solid platform was created by Marsh. Another couple of wickets and we are reliant on Hauritz and Bollinger to perform this late innings role.

This is one of those innings where you can't fault any of the batsmen for their innings, which is unusual. Excellent effort from the Aussies, especially given the pressure on the top order to score.

India's bowling, fielding and general attitude has been pathetic. Where has the fire and the drive gone from Mohali? It's like they know this is a depleted Australian side and they are just going through the motions.

It's typical inconsistency and lack of professionalism that will prevent India from ever being the number one team in the world on a consistent basis.
