Don't know why you Indian fans are so pessimistic, the only slight area of concern would be in pace bowling, which guys like Shaun Marsh and Michael Clarke are unable to exploit anyway.

Very excited about this series. So much cricket over the last few months still cannot get enough of it. There is nothing like a series between India and Australia. Never a dull moment.

India matches up well against Australia. And India always plays well when they are the underdog. Besides, it looks to me they are more hungry at the moment. So I will not be surprised if India pulls this off. It will be very close though.

Australia bats very deep with so many all rounders in this team. It will be difficult to get them out. India's best bet is to try to check the scoring rate and stifle them. I don't see any big hitter in this Australia team who can take the game away very quickly.

Anyway. Should be a good series. I am up for it.

Has there been any news as to whether Brett Lee is playing? I presume they'll want him to but I heard the NSW players arrived less than 24h before the match starts.

Except that Clarke isn't playing and Marsh is fantastic.

Tim Paine gone. It was a good innings by Tim Paine, he's been very impressive. I'd much rather have him at the top of the order rather than Brad Haddin.

Reckon Paine's done enough in the ODI team to be next in line for Tests, personally. I wasn't really expecting him to do that well, but kudos to the selectors, he's been pretty solid at the top of the order.

Apart from Nehra, India's bowling looks pretty ordinary. We'd struggle to contain Australia below 280 in most of these games. I think this game will give us an indication of the form India's batting is in. Gambhir, Tendulkar and Dhoni will be absolutely crucial because apart from them, there isn't really a whole lot.
