*Official* English Football Season 2009-2010

Hmm, wonder if the ref has ever thought about letting the game flow. Blowing more than a $10 whore. Though can understand why the linesman flagged off for that goal, as O'Shea did go for the ball, only left it at the last second.

Hmm, great header for the goal there, and no Jim Beglin, he wasnt offside. We've had the most chances but have looked inept, they've looked damn scary up front.

And our ineptness shown by a Giggs goal :)

He booted it out when in acres of space when he could have easily passed to Giggs tbh. Other than that, yes, not in the second half at all.

Besides, United are better than Liverpool.
Indubitably, but the gap is not larger than to turn "decent result" into "shock". Which you probably agree with anyway, seeing as you claim it wouldn't be a shock if you lost there.

But yeah, a club with Frey in goal, Jørgensen in midfield and Gilardino & Mutu as the strike pairing can't be entirely rubbish.

Put it this way- if they were playing Juventus at home in Serie A, and they won, you wouldn't bat an eyelid. It would be like Arsenal beating Chelsea at home. How much better are Liverpool than Juventus?

Big call, don't think that can be said conclusively at this point
Seriously, saying the team that has won the past three League titles (and is the early leader this season too) is better than the team that hasn't is a big call?

Things may turn around as the season goes on but as it stands there is nothing big about that call whatsoever.

Haha, I just think that we will see at the end of the season who the best team is, that's all. Not much between any of them so far.

I thought them being the champs might come into this. So far you've coped reasonably well without Ronaldo but his influence in those three titles cannot be underestimated. I think it is a big call to say they are definitely or clearly better than pretty much any of the top teams at the minute.

That's not to say nobody should think they are the best and say as such, I just don't think it can or should be stated as a fact.

Also, early season leader doesn't really count for much, as I believe you yourself said a few posts back :p

A lot comes down to injuries, and I still fancy Chelsea for the league, but I think we'll finish above Liverpool. The defence has been quite conclusively better this year, and that's what matters most at the top end of the table.
