The stage is set for usuf Pathan now. If the spinners are brought on and a wicket falls, he can walk in and seal the game for his side if he gets to face 5 spinners' overs.

I get the impression that after the World Twenty20, both Rohit and Raina are going to have to demonstrate that they have learnt to play the short ball, or they may as well just keep players like Kohli in the side. Seems pointless having someone in the side with a huge gaping hole in their technique that will be exposed as soon as they leave the subcontinent.
Can't remember the last time Suresh Raina got out to a short ball in an ODI.

As I said during the practice games, write off Dravid at your own peril. Raina playing superbly. This is all set to be a thriller.

The RRR is definitely manageable but wickets are still a worry with a long tail. Bhajji is most certainly not good enough to bat at 8 and we have a walking wicket at 9 with RP Singh. We really need a couple of bowlers who can bat a bit though I don't know who they are.

How many ODI's has Raina played on tracks with as much bounce as this one ? Especially since the TT world cup when his woeful batting against the short ball was full revealed.

Oh boy Raina gone, a bit unfortunate .... But what an innings under pressure by him, add to that his excellent performance in the field .... i take back whatever negative, I may have said abt him :)

We really needed this partnership to go on for another 5 overs at least. It looks like our tail will be fully tested and I don't think it will be pretty.

Not many. About one in twenty ODIs are played on bouncy tracks. Which is exactly why Raina's short ball weakness is completely irrelevant.

Raina showed v Balaji in the Corporate Trophy recently that he still has a lot of work to do against the short ball. He is justifiably in the team though as he has been performing over the last 18 months or so.

cool fight back by Ind so far .... come on guys, fight it out, less than 100 to get

Time for YP to prove a thing or two as well .... the team selectors have shown a lot of faith in him despite some poor performances of late

Ha I was just about to write that bringing in a slip at this stage was a little strange. What a brilliant bit of captaincy.

On current form Bhajji is a better bet with the bat than YP .... and it's time to say bye to YP. get back in to form, improve your game and then come back
