Would put that down to Mr House's prep school, tbh.The other half of the Fry&Laurie team is also a pretty big cricket fan. In the latest episodes of House you can see a cricket ball in his office from time to time.
Oh and Roger Federer is also a casual watcher of the game.
Is at the Test today.Russel Crowe is also a cricket fan as is Daniel Radcliffe, the actor from the Harry Potter movies.
IIRC a former US President once went to a Pakistan Test match in Pakistan in the 50's or 60's. It was against the West Indies IIRC.
Pretty sure it was Dwight D Eisenhower who attended one of the India - Australia Tests of October/November 1956 actually. Unlikely to have made him into a fan though. Was actually against Australia that LBJ went to a test match.
Think she's more of a fan of cricketers rather than cricket.Surprised not to see a mention of Lily Allen here.
never heard of him. what does he do?Phil Neville. They don't get more famous than him.
Phil Neville kicks a football (soccer ball) around for a living.never heard of him. what does he do?
She was, and knew rather more about the game than I'd expected. Happily, she is now 'over' Graham Onions, but it was clear that is a genuine fan of the longer form of the game. The article is a little unfair on Aggers, but not very much so. He really didn't do very well imo, and soudned massively underprepared to me, but luckily Ms Allen giggled enough to fill in the lengthy gaps.Think she's more of a fan of cricketers rather than cricket.
Although she was on TMS yesterday:
When Aggers met Lily.
He and Rory Hamilton-Brown were best mates (I think they may have gone to school together). Both played cricket and rugby to a pretty good standard. Looks like only one has a future as an England player thoughApparently Danny Cipriani was quite the cricketer when he was a teenager, so much so that Surrey invited him to join them.
**** he's cool.I’ve been a big cricket fan most of my life, really. Probably, I don’t know, maybe from about 8 years old, or something.
Obviously I was brought up in Yorkshire, that’s where I was born. Everyone’s into cricket up there, and my dad and my granddad used to take me up to matches – you know, county matches – when I was younger.
We were in Melbourne on Wednesday, and I managed to persuade a few of the guys to get a really early flight on Thursday so we could get the first day in. But unfortunately if it does go to a fifth day, I’ll miss that, cos I’m going home. But it’s been amazing. It’s the first Test match I’ve ever been to in Australia, and it’s a great vibe. It’s amazing over here.
The Australians have bowled really well. Obviously the English batsmen haven't done so great compared to the last two Tests, but Johnson has done really well. He had a great day with the ball yesterday. He was awesome. He was really moving it around.
He came down yesterday, and I think when we started to lose it a bit, that’s when he sort of disappeared. He gets very patriotic when we’re winning, but when we’re losing, he doesn’t care so much.
Strange considering I think his Mum is South African.Turns out Roger Federer is a big cricket fan and supports Australia. ITSTL.
I guess that is why Joni has a huge man crush for Nadal.
Federer nearly moved to Australia when he was in his teens when his dad got a job out here.Strange considering I think his Mum is South African.
Christian Vieri is a big cricket fan. Said he would much rather play cricket for Aus than football (this was prior to the 1998 WC) but cricket didn’t pay at the time.
